Covid-19; Policy & Procedures

Social Distancing; the new normal

In line with new Government Guidelines as of 13th May 2020, the Housing Market is now open. We are being cautious with our approach to ensure the health and safety of our Staff and of our Customers and have therefore updated our Covid-19; Policy & Procedures below, along with completing a Covid-19 Risk Assessment.

NEXA Digital

Whilst we cautiously open up our working operations, we are still able to provide a full service via our digital offering, which consists of;

  • Video viewings
  • Video valuations
  • Instant online Valuations
  • Video chat Meetings via Zoom, Skype or FaceTime

Viewings Policy

  • PPE
    • All staff & clients should adhere to our PPE policies;
      • We encourage you to bring your own facemasks
      • We encourage you to bring your own hand sanitizer or gloves
      • 2 meter social distancing will apply in all circumstances where possible
    • Hygiene
      • Please remove shoes
      • Please do not touch anything in the property
      • We may ask you to wash your hands upon entry & exit
    • Procedures
      • We recommend the residents vacate the property during viewings
      • We would encourage a video viewing initially, where possible
      • We will limit viewings to 15 minutes max
      • Please keep 2 meters distance inside & outside of the property
      • We are requesting home owners open internal doors in a property & turn on lights, prior to our arrival.
      • If you would like to make an offer or discuss in more detail we suggest doing so over video chat, phone, text or email.

 Client Meetings

  • We won’t conduct any in-office meetings, all meetings will be held via video conference
  • We are available to meet at your home for Valuations & Viewings within the guidelines outlined in this document
  • For any in-person meetings in your home we may wear masks, gloves or hand sanitizer and keep a 2 meter distance at all times

Landlords & Tenants

  • The same policy on viewings will apply
  • All third party contractors must adhere to our guidelines outlined in this document. For any works that are required the property should be vacant where possible
  • We shall make every effort to ensure property requires minimal work during the time the property is occupied
  • We shall conduct inspections and any other visits via Video chat where possible

Pre-meeting questions for viewings and Valuations

  • Have you been in contact with anyone that has displayed symptoms in the last 14 days?
  • Have you displayed any symptoms in the last 14 days?
  • Have you tested negative or positive for the virus at any stage?


  • We can view all documentation via video chat, for example AML & Right to Rent documentation.
  • We will use DocuSign for all signing of documentation

Health & Safety in the work place

  • We have initiated a partial ‘work-from-home’ policy to ensure a 2 meter distance between all staff members in the office, and no crowding in the office
  • All Staff meetings will continue to be held via Video Conference
  • Our Office Hours will remain flexible but we will always be available via phone & email
  • All staff may be required to wear face coverings and Gloves or Hand Sanitizer when in the office
  • All staff must wipe down any shared equipment such as phones & printers after use
  • All staff must limit use of kitchen facilities to a minimum, and wipe down all surfaces after use
  • All keys will be cleaned before handover
