•Mature garden, with different spaces for flowers and vegetables; the middle bed is a mass of colour in the spring, with a deep red camellia and a large selection of colourful azaleas and rhododendrons. The magnolia tree takes centre stage in Spring with its mass of stunning flowers. Peonies pop up to the right-hand side of the garden mixed in amongst tulips and salvias and then to the left hand side, tall marguerites make themselves known in June. The majestic pear tree brings form to the middle of the garden, with a swing on one branch making it a secret spot for our nieces and nephews to play.
•One of the garden sheds used to house chickens many years ago – it still has the ramp there for when they went in at night!
•A pleasant 5 minute stroll to the Bird in Hand
•The garden room is the perfect place to escape to enjoy the last of the day’s sun. We have our own inside/outside bar when the bifold window is open. It’s an all year round room where we can go ‘out-out’ while staying in.
•The reading room is my quiet space, I love curling up on the window seat.
